Dog Training and Behavior Specialist
Kelsey was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas, graduated from Topeka West High School and later attended Wichita State University where she studied Communications. Always an animal lover, Kelsey was thrilled when she landed a job as an adoption counselor at Helping Hands Humane Society! She worked there for three years before transitioning to Dog Day Afternoon Pet Ranch and Resort. While there, Kelsey became Dog-Handler certified and her role grew to manage the Daycare.
Seeking to see more of the country, Kelsey moved to New York where she managed Happy Dogs doggie daycare while continuing to develop her skills and expand her knowledge. When her Midwestern roots called her home, Kelsey returned to Topeka and immediately began developing a highly successful new program for Helping Hands Humane Society. She became their Mobile Adoptions Coordinator, taking animals off-site in hopes to help them find their forever homes!
Kelsey now lives in Liberty, Missouri, with her wife, Taylor, and their Goldendoodle, French Bulldog puppy and two Husky/Malamute mixes! In her spare time she enjoys exploring coffee shops, being outside, playing with her fur babies, spending time with her family and friends, singing, photography, and traveling.
