5 Spring Activities for You and Your Dog

Spring activities with your dog

With temperatures rising and the cold weather behind us, it’s time to celebrate Spring! And we aren’t the only ones who enjoy the change in weather. We have listed five ways to enjoy the new season with your dog.

Spring cleaning

Dust out the house and sweep all that dog fur outside. Spring cleaning is no one’s favorite task, but it feels so good when it’s done. We recommend tossing your dog’s toys in the wash and running their bowls through the dishwasher to truly get a clean feel.

Stretch your legs at the dog park

Time to get the zoomies out. With sunny skies, dogs are itching to run around outside. Check out our list of top dog parks in Dallas. You could also double a trip to the dog park with a treat for yourself by going to Mutts Canine Cantina. Who doesn’t love sipping margaritas while watching your dog make new friends?!

Catch a Rangers game at a sports bar

Springtime means a return to baseball season! The Texas Rangers’ season kicks off on March 27th, and there are plenty of dog-friendly sports pubs to enjoy the games. Have you been to Legacy Hall in Plano? You can watch the game with your dog on a 24-foot LED screen while sampling the goods at 20 different food vendors. Plus they serve peanut butter puppuccino and peanut butter ice cream so your dog gets a treat, too!

New hairdo

Spring is the perfect season for a trim. Especially for our long-haired doodles, it’s time for the spring shave. Even if you are keeping long locks, a luxurious bath is the perfect thing to get all that winter mud and dirt cleaned away. Check out Paradise 4 Paws, which serves both grooming and massage options.

Camping

Enjoy the spring weather in the great outdoors. Find great camping spots all around Dallas/Fort Worth. Cedar Hill State Park is a beautiful natural area to explore near Dallas with hundreds of acres of open land and trails. The camping sites here offer traditional setups or there are sites available with electricity, so you can try camping with the comforts of home.
