Who We Are

As a dog training company founded in Kansas City, Beyond the Dog is science-based and services with the luxury of private training. Relying on 30+ years of experience and doctoral-level education, we strive to provide an unmatched level of service.

Our Kansas City Dog Training Team is driven by a love of dogs and science, dedicating their careers to improving the lives of animals. We are passionate about dog behavior and it shows! All of our trainers hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in an animal related field. In addition to their formal education and prior to joining our team, they have served as marine mammal trainers, zookeepers, and behavioral scientists.

After joining the team, our staff receives unparalleled training in dog behavior and training under Dr. Echterling-Savage and Sean Savage. Under their guidance, our trainers strive to provide the best training experience to the dogs (and their humans) of Kansas City. This is the Beyond the Dog difference!
