Dog with Will You Be My Date sign

There is no truer love than the unwavering, unbreakable, and unparalleled love from your dog. Always happy to see you, ready to offer kisses, and happy to cuddle. You and your dog deserve a perfect date. Dallas may not be known as the city of love, but it is an amazing backdrop to treat your real soul mate to a perfect day. See a few of our date ideas below.

Frenchie Valentines Day

Dinner and a movie

Make your way to Fort Worth for a classic date with your dog, dinner, and a movie. Start at Mutts Canine Cantina, the most dog-friendly restaurant in Dallas-Fort Worth. Enjoy a burger and cold drink while your dog plays in their private dog park. After dinner, take a short drive to Coyote Drive-In, which features four popular movies each night on their outdoor big screens. Gates open at 6 pm with movies starting after 7 pm. Snuggling with your dog is not required, but is highly recommended.

Hike and winery

Start your day walking at Cedar Ridge Preserve. This Audubon nature preserve offers 9 miles of hiking trails through 600 acres of hill country habitat. Gorgeous views of the lake await you just 20 minutes south of downtown.

After strolling through the wilderness, make a stop at Times Ten Cellars in Lakewood. Be sure to ask for a tasting flight, with their wide selection of wine. Their food menu also includes appetizers, flatbreads, and delicious desserts. For your four-legged date, a bowl of water is provided on the shaded patio.

Farmers Market and staycation

Take your dog shopping in the open-air pavilion of the Dallas Farmers Market at the Shed. Browse farm-fresh produce and local dairy and meat products. Food artisans also offer their creations to the market next to additional arts and crafts vendors. Dogs are welcome in The Shed and on The Market patios. The market is open on Saturdays and Sundays.

Cap off the night with a staycation at one of the many dog-friendly hotels in Dallas. If you really want to splurge, check out the Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. Previously a private estate, Rosewood Mansion has become a luxurious 5-star hotel. They offer an on-site restaurant, bar, pool, and fitness center, plus they are two miles from the heart of Dallas.
