Are your cats unable to be in the same room together? Do you feel there is nothing you can do to get your cats to stop fighting? After training cats exhibiting aggressive behavior for the past 20+ years, we have created a science-based, data-driven cat training program that can eliminate or reduce aggressive behavior in any cat! Our unique treatment for aggressive cats is scientifically proven to get your cats to stop fighting for good. Whether your cat is exhibiting aggressive behavior towards you or other pets in the home, our Austin cat behavior consultants are uniquely qualified to modify any cat’s aggressive behavior.
Are you considering adopting a new cat but concerned about how your cat will react? Has your cat ever shown aggressive behavior? Our Austin cat training programs are designed to treat all types of cat aggression. Led by approximately one of 50 Certified Applied Animal Behaviorists in the country, our pre-training team will craft a cat training plan personalized to you and your cat’s exact needs. After training thousands of cats, our team has designed a proprietary tool called the Indirect Assessment of Feline Behavior which will assist us in determining your cat’s root cause of aggression and the best way to treat it. During your in-home cat training program, your Austin cat trainer will come directly to your home to work with you to treat your cat’s aggressive behavior. Our Austin cat training programs are designed for long-lasting behavioral change and will help restore peace amongst your furry family members.
Training Programs
Our goal is to modify your cat’s aggressive behavior and eliminate all cat conflicts including but not limited to:
Developed by one of approximately 50 Certified Applied Animal Behaviorists in the country, our cat training programs are designed from years of hands-on experience as well as the latest research in animal behavior. Our proprietary treatment plan proven to treat all forms of cat aggression involves a unique blend of classical conditioning and positive reinforcement. Our team has incorporated the latest research in feline behavior, such as the study conducted by Mills et al. (2004) in which 8000 instances of cat aggression were analyzed, to create the most efficient cat aggression treatment. Through our scientific approach, we empower cat owners with the knowledge and tools necessary to create long-lasting behavior change. According to our Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist, Dr. Echterling-Savage, “By reducing and eliminating aggression in cats we create harmony in your home. Creating a stress-free environment for everyone is at the heart of what we do at Beyond the Dog.”
The Executive Training Program offers comprehensive on-location training sessions tailored to your cat’s specific needs. Over the course of three to four weeks, you will receive 1-hour sessions, three days each week. Upon submitting your training contract and completing the Indirect Assessment of Feline Behavior, our pre-training team, under the guidance of Dr. Echterling-Savage, meticulously designs a personalized training program for your cat. Your designated trainer will then conduct two, one-on-one sessions with your cat each week, focusing on targeted behavioral modifications. The third session, dedicated to developing your cat training skills, ensures a holistic approach to pet training and integration. Please be advised that additional fees may apply if the indirect behavior assessment indicates severe behavior issues in your cat, as confirmed by our expert team.
If you are a pet parent with an insurance policy covering behavior modification, our cat aggression behavior modification is likely covered. Most companies with behavior policies such as Trupanion cover behavioral training when under the direction of a CAAB or a Board Certified Veterinary Behaviorist.
