Elgin Christmas Tree Farm

For $10 per person, explore one of Austin’s only dog-friendly pumpkin patches full of photo ops and plenty of attractions for the kids. End the day with a picnic full of carnival-style food and cold drinks while enjoying each other’s company. On your way out, check out their shop full of carving kits to get your freshly picked pumpkins ready for Halloween.
Barktoberfest
When: Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
Where: Veteran’s Memorial Park at 2525 W. New Hope Dr., Cedar Park, TX 78613
Support a fantastic cause while burning some energy with your pup at Central Texas SPCA’s annual festival and 1-mile dog walk. At the festival, your dog can participate in the coolest trick contest and a peanut butter-eating contest! There will be multiple costume contests as well as a silent auction, food, and more. Registration costs $25 for either the 3k or the 5k runs and a t-shirt is included.
Barton Creek Farmer’s Market
When: Saturdays 9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: 2901 S. Capital of Texas Hwy Austin, Texas 78746
Voted one of the top 10 farmers markets in the US multiple times, Barton Creek Farmer’s Market is an amazing place to shop local with your dog. Support Austin farmers this fall with seasonal items such as tomatoes, squashes, peppers, apples, pears, figs, pumpkins, and more!
The 20th Annual Lake Travis Lions Club Dog Walk & Costume Contest
When: Saturday, October 28th, 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Where: Lakeway City Park at 502 Hurst Creek Road Lakeway, TX 78734
Walk around Lake Travis with your dog in your spookiest costumes at The 20th Annual Lake Travis Lions Club Dog Walk & Costume Contest. This is a great way to meet other dog owners in the Austin community. Tickets are $25 and one winner of the costume contest will be crowned.
Austin Fall Photo Shoot
There’s no better way to celebrate fall than a colorful photo shoot with your dog. We have several dog-friendly hiking spots we love but we also recommend the 360 Bridge, Zilker Park, and McKinney Falls State Park for some stunning photos.
