Downtown Kansas City is a fantastic spot for dog lovers! It hosts numerous dog parks, including the downtown West Terrace Park and Bar K’s two off-leash areas. You’ll also find various dog-friendly restaurants, such as Bar K and the Westside Local, perfect for a bite. If you enjoy shopping, West Bottoms offers a dog-friendly shopping district where you and your dog can explore.

We have compiled a list of our favorite dog-friendly hotels in Kansas City’s Downtown area. Please remember to contact the hotel about your dog’s visit to ensure an easy check-in. 

Hotel Indigo Kansas City Downtown

Address: 101 West 11th Street, Kansas City, MO, 64105

Hotel Indigo is conveniently located in Downtown Kansas City, just a few blocks away from the T-Mobile Center and the Kansas City Convention Center. It’s a quick seven-minute drive to Bar K, a dog-friendly restaurant with a bar and two off-leash dog parks.

Hotel Indigo allows two dogs per room, with a nonrefundable $75 pet fee. Dogs are not weight-limited.

Kansas City Marriott Downtown

Address: 200 W 12th St, Kansas City, MO 64105

The Marriott Downtown is next to the Kansas City Power and Light District, Kansas City Hall, and T-Mobile Center. It is also a 3-minute drive to the Westside Local, an American restaurant with a dog-friendly patio. 

The Marriott is dog-friendly. Two dogs are allowed in each room; the weight limit is 25 lbs. There is a $75 non-refundable pet fee.

The Crossroads Hotel in Kansa City’s Downtown

Address: 2101 Central St, Kansas City, MO 64108

The Crossroads Hotel in Downtown Kansas City is near many dog-friendly services. They suggest visiting Bar K, the dog-friendly Casual Animal Brewing Company, and the Mixed Mutt Creamery, which offers doggie ice cream and other treats. 

The Crossroads Hotel is renowned for its dog-friendly service. Crossroads provides a dog bed, bowl, and treats from the Three Dog Bakery. Remember to ask at reception for a complimentary day pass to Bar K, which has a bar, a restaurant, and two off-leash dog parks. 

There is a $40 pet fee and no official weight limit. Please contact the hotel in advance if you have a large breed dog or multiple dogs in the room.

Loews Kansas City Hotel

Address: 1515 Wyandotte St, Kansas City, MO 64108

Located in Downtown Kansas City, Loews offers exceptional pet-friendly service. They offer pet walking and pet sitting services, dog walking route maps, pet placemats, water bowls, treats, and more. Loews’s award-winning chef also offers a gourmet pet menu.

They accept two pets per room, including cats and dogs, for a $50 pet fee. Dogs are not weight-limited.

21C Museum Kansas City 

Address: 219 W 9th St, Kansas City, MO 64105

21C is located near the Power and Light district and the River Market. This area is filled with dog-friendly areas, including a 10-minute walk to the West Terrace Dog Park and a six-minute drive to Bar K and the Berkley Riverfront. 

21C Museum charges a $75 pet fee and limits pets to 50 lbs. For more information about the museum’s pet policy, visit its website here.
