We know that every family and their dog are never exactly the same. That’s why we offer private in-home training that is personalized to your unique lifestyle. We customize each program to address obedience, aggression, or both depending on your needs and goals. Our trainers and behavior consultants work directly in your home or at your favorite local parks and stores to treat the behaviors specifically where they occur. Want to host family dinners in Creve Coeur but feel embarrassed when your dog jumps all over your guests? We can teach your dog an alternative, appropriate behavior to ask for attention politely. Want to take long walks in Forest Park but feel like you can’t because your dog barks too much? We can treat their reactivity in the moment and promote comfort and confidence in public!

Don’t worry, Beyond the Dog’s trainers also work one-on-one with you as the owner! Let us do all the leg work and at the end of every week of your program, we’ll meet with you to explain the science behind your dog’s behavior and the most effective way to treat it. Then we’ll do it together! After practicing together hands-on, our trainers also provide a detailed email containing all the instructions you’ll need to continue training your dog on off-days and weekends. Our Dog Training Philosophy

All-Inclusive Training Program

Want your dog to explore all of St Louis’ dog friendly patios like Bar K with you? Or help you entertain in Ballwin? Maybe hiking in Castlewood State Park? Our All-Inclusive Program was made for you! This is our most intense in-home training program. It encompasses 22 training sessions across six weeks! This program has been designed to achieve high-level obedience training and/or address moderate to severe behavioral concerns. Your trainer will customize your dog’s training program based on your goals and dog’s needs. After crafting your dog’s training plan, your trainer will work with your dog one-on-one for four (1) hour sessions during the week. The fifth session each week is dedicated to your training! After the month-long training there are (2) follow up sessions to support your progress. Pricing for this program is $3,080. Ready to get started?

Executive Training Program

Have a dog that is pulling you around Tower Grove Park? Or is a little too vocal while walking around Forest Park? Our Executive program is here for you! We provide on-location training for one hour, three days a week for three to four weeks. This program is perfect for getting a jump-start on obedience training or addressing minor behavioral concerns. Your trainer will meet with you to discuss the scope and goals of your program and develop your training plan. After developing your pup’s training plan, your trainer will work with your dog one on one for two sessions each week. The third session will be your training day where we focus on developing your dog training skills! Pricing for this program is $1,305 for our 3 week package or $1,740 for our 4 week package. Board and Train Program

Looking for a trainer to help with your new rescue dog? Or want your dog to be trained while you are away? That’s where our Board and Train program comes in! This unique program allows your dog to live in their trainer’s home for three to four weeks, providing unmatched training and attention! Your dog will join their trainer exploring all St Louis has to offer while also working on housebreaking, crate training, learning appropriate manners, socializing and achieving a high level of obedience! At the conclusion of their Board and Train, there is 4.5 hours of training for you! This program offers the highest level of obedience training for adult dogs. Pricing starts at $3,360.
